5 reasons why you should invest in blogging and content

Blogging takes time, and that's why you need to invest yourself in everything you're doing when it comes to posting content.  You can't think you're going to be successful if you're only blogging for one hour a week, it just doesn't work like that!  Blogging is more than what it used to be like back in the day, you can't just post your feelings and treat it like a journal because it's evolved so much more and now you can profit from it simply from posting great content.

Investing in your content should be something in the top 3 of your priority list because it's so important and can make your website much more successful than it currently is.  Your content can turn a basic blog into something that people want to come and read because it's the authority within the niche.  Content is so powerful and a massive amount of webmasters overlook it because it doesn't bring in instant results.  Just because you're writing up content now and you're not getting sales from it tomorrow, doesn't mean it needs to be put on the back burner.  There are many times I've written up an article and it didn't bring in any traffic for a few months, but out of no where, Google decided to boost the rankings of that post and I was getting 1,000+ visitors a day 5 reasons why you should invest in blogging and content  Imagine how excited I was because I put in the time on that article and let it sit there, then a massive wave of traffic started to come in months later 5 reasons why you should invest in blogging and content

In this discussion, I'll be going over 5 reasons why you should invest in blogging and content, and they are:

Blogs bring in a good amount of traffic after they've matured
A new blogger will usually complain about the amount of traffic they're getting in because it's usually a lot lower than they thought it was going to be.  A lot of people get into blogging because they see others making a decent amount of money from the thousands of visitors they're getting each day.  Well, I'm here to tell you that it just doesn't work like that, and you'll need to invest your time and effort into your blog then wait for it to mature before you can post a success story.

A new blog will never top the rankings for a difficult keyword because it hasn't matured and gained authority within the eyes of Google.  After you write up a bunch of content and build plenty of great backlinks, you will notice your posts moving up for specific keywords and the traffic will start to trickle in.

Optimized content is what the search engines are looking for
Search engines love that you're posting content for everyone to read, but if the content isn't optimized, you won't see a decent amount of traffic coming in later on because Google won't know where to place you.  If you take your time optimizing your content, you will notice your rankings begin to move around after Google starts to see your optimized content, and that's a great thing for all blogs and even the readers 5 reasons why you should invest in blogging and content

Invest in your content and optimize it for the search engines so they know exactly what your posts are all about.  You will be glad you did.

Blogging can turn you into the authority within your industry
What a lot of people don't understand, when they're running a business, is that a good blog can turn you into the main authority within your industry.  This is because you're posting top-notch content about your niche, and people are starting to notice you, then they will share your content with everyone they know.  Usually, you'll jump up in the rankings and get noticed by other business owners within your niche, and even some outside of your niche who are looking for you, which is always a good thing 5 reasons why you should invest in blogging and content

If you're only posting once a week, you won't become the authority within your niche because that's just not enough content.  You'll need to invest yourself into your content and write up a great article at least once a day for the first couple months, then you can start to slow down after everyone sees you as an awesome source of content 5 reasons why you should invest in blogging and content

Great writers will discount their services if you link back to their websites
With this point, you're investing money and not your time, which is a little different than the points above.  If you simply don't have the time to invest in your own writing of the content, you can always outsource it to a credible writer who can get it all done for you!  Usually, you can get a great writer for a lower price per word if you link back to their website, which is usually their own writing service.

If their normal price per word is $0.03, but you're letting them link back to their own website, you might be able to get then down to $0.02 per word.  Now, that doesn't seem like a lot when you think about it, but a 1,000-word article will now cost you $20 instead of $30, which is a 33.3% discount 5 reasons why you should invest in blogging and content

Your website stays fresh and inviting
When you take your time writing up great content, you will keep your website fresh and updated.  Google and your readers will appreciate the amount of work you've put into your website, and all of its content and they will show their gratitude by increasing your rankings as well as sharing your content with everyone they know 5 reasons why you should invest in blogging and content

A blog that is active will always boost the website it's attached to.  You will bring in traffic that is already loving what you've written, and they will be more inclined to make a purchase or click on your ads, making you some money along the way 5 reasons why you should invest in blogging and content

In conclusion
If you invest yourself and your time into your content, you will notice everything starting to go up.  Your rankings will begin to increase due to Google starting to see you as an authority, your traffic will increase because of the higher rankings, and your sales will jump up because of all the traffic you've been getting 5 reasons why you should invest in blogging and content  Your blog is a crucial part of your overall website, so invest in it and you will be happy you did 5 reasons why you should invest in blogging and content

I think the part about your website staying fresh is so huge. I know myself, when I visit websites knowing that they're still regularly updating their content always makes me feel more confident in dealing with them - and blogs are a huge part of that.

There are many benefits to blogging.
You can monetize your blog and earn revenue.
You can establish your authority in a certain niche.
You can drive traffic to your ecommerce site.
If you are a blogger, you should invest in your content, even if you are not a blogger and run an ecommerce site instead, you still have to invest in content for the reasons mentioned above.

The first and foremost benefit from blogging is the monetization particularly of Adsense. I had an experience in Adsense earnings and even if they have cut into half the rate of revenue sharing it will still matter if your blog has a good number of traffic. A blog is a good investment because you can build your readers just by inviting your friends in social media. Those readers who think your blogs are very interesting will help you spread the word about your blog.

2 5 reasons why you should invest in blogging and content.
These are what every blogger should know. It is useless writing content that seems dead. The content does not receive the intended results. Optimizing the content is what we need.

Your tips are always great. Investing in content and blogging can be also profitable. Aside from monetizing your blog with ads. The other ways to earn from it is by including affiliate links in your content wherein you can get commissions. You can also sell digital products and private ads. Selling private ads can be in the form of banners or links.

This is exactly what I was talking about with getting to monetizing one's blog in order to make money from it. Ads are the best ways to getting money from one's blog but care must be taken not to over use ads on the blog in order not to make it look messed up.

Blogs now are like a mini website. It has evolved from the virtual journal that people writes with the mask of anonymity. Now, it has become a gateway to journalism.

Blogging can be a good source of income. One just needs to update content from time to time. Although, not all bloggers are earning a lot but anyone can. These tips are also helpful.

You are very correct my friend with that assertion on the blogging being a very good source of making money online especially when you have set up your blog to be very useful. Monetizing one's blog is one of the best ways to make money online from being a blogger.

What I can do for now is to plan and write or jot down some important things which is to be included in my future blog. Thank you for encouraging me to continue and to focus.

You should take your time in planning. It is important to plan before doing something. Know your target market so you will have a concrete idea on what you are going to write or make a video for.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Yeah , actually I am currently planning for my future blogs and vlogs. What I did first is the vlog so I have here story boards but I am still building and absorbing some ideas so its still in the process. I have here with me my planner and notebook for me to jot down the ideas. For now I am just taking a small steps first before I really proceed in creating blogs and videos so yeah. Thank you!.

It's not really a must that you will have to be the one who writes all your blog content alone. You can get the assistance of freelancers who can offer high quality content for a fair price. It's unless you have no time at all to manage your blog, then I suggest you take some time off and come back later.

My comment from you is suppose to be here. I mistakenly commented on the other comment of yours. From the comment below after your replies on my comment I think. I am sorry.

Yes, that's right. I've been to some websites that offer freelance writing. You can get someone to write your blogs for a cheap amount if you can't manage it. There are options and you don't have to wear yourself thin. Little amount and effort can still lead to profit if done correctly.

Glad to hear that. Continue what you love. If you love doing both vlogging and blogging so be it. As long as you are happy in doing such things no need to worries. Hope you could create an interesting blog and vlog at the same time. Goodluck.

Time is money when invested in something in the right way. There are lots of who misuse their time in doing so many things that aren't that important when it comes to fetching them money or making them being influencial in the community but blogging is one sure way to getting that.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

edencaga
Yeah, thank you for that idea. I am still thinking about it first but maybe it also helps. For now, since I am working with one of my contracts so I cannot easily decide right away but I did some plans, its just that I still have to fix it first and explore more some ideas.

Blogging looks so mature especially when the site commands authority by being very good at what it does. I have seen so many people who are now very popular simply because they are just bloggers.

I do agree that a well developed blog can be very lucrative. But you have to devote a lot of time and effort to produce a good Blogsite. Like you said content is the key and it should always have fresh good content on a regular basis.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Martinsx1
Something always goes for something. You can't expect to have a lucrative blog that would fetch you a decent amount of money always without having worked hard by increasing investing of your precious time in the improvement of the blog. Remember the quote, "Time is Money". It's the investment of time in your blog that turn it into a money making machine over a period of time.

I have been looking more and more into outsourcing some content, because at the end of the day blogging does take time (and certain expertise) so it can be easier to pay someone else to write. Quality content is definitely worth the investment in my opinion, and these days there are so many freelance writers out there that it's not too difficult to get writers for a reasonable price.

You have underlined time and again that patience in this kind of work really matters. You always provide strategic ways and exhaust all means to achieve your objectives. Although it doesn't bring an instantaneous result, it can turn out successfully if we let it mature in time. We really have to invest a lot in the beginning. Anyway, as an old cliche goes, the beginning is always the hardest.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

amelia88
I'm also a huge fan of the fact that this site emphasizes that you do need to be patient and that a lot of things aren't an overnight process like some sources may lead us to believe. I always find that reassuring, and it really does make me want to put in the hard work so that I am successful in the end.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Yes, I agree. Blogging really takes time, a lot of effort, and of course patience. Especially if you are doing a video blogging, then you should invest a lot of time and patience on it. Editing your videos alone already taking so much time from you. But I am more concern about getting new topics or contents for your blogs, it is really hard to think new ones in times like this when a lot of new ideas coming out and spreading in an instant everywhere.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

amelia88
Blogging definitely does take time - especially if you want to write a quality, well written piece. I know that for me, if I'm writing something for a blog I usually write it and revise it multiple times before I'm happy with it. I haven't yet branched out into vlogging but I do imagine that the editing and production process is quite time consuming.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Chinet23
If you are really after writing a quality piece, then it follows that it will take time to review your work and do revisions or proofreading. I'm surprised though that some blogs I have read, seemed to overlook this process perhaps they are after quantity, to keep readers updated.
I also follow some vloggers and they usually comment on how long it took them to do the editing. I know that they pay for experts to get the job done since it's time-consuming.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

mitan143
That's great! I can see how good you are being a blogger/writer. I admire such processes that you do before you publish it and I believe you can be a good example to other aspiring writers out there. I think you can feel that it is really time consuming when you do editing, revising, and other stuffs when your goal is to have a good content and not just a work. The quality matters afterall.

I really want to start a blog of mine. I have ideas for content that is universal and will definitely be popular in my country. The problem is I don't have the time and resources to do so yet. I also think that blogging is a nice source of passive income specially if it blows up.

I am new to the world of blogs and website, I honestly want to have my own blogs and website but I just don't know how to do it. Having those stuff is really an advantage since you can earn a decent income if you do it right.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

When I was checking for passive income, blogging was actually one of them. And since then I have been interested to start writing blogs someday. It's only now that I am getting serious about it and I'm learning as much as I could. It's good to know that I'm in the right place here in this community. I actually learned a lot and I like that you share more than facts or the "how to's" but also the attitude and mindset that we need to possess to become successful.

My biggest fear is my blog not getting any traffic. Like I get that you do a blog if it's your passion to write but what's the use of writing if no one will read them. To feed someone's ego or cure depression? Maybe. But I also want to earn a passive income using blogging.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Exactly. What would be more rewarding if you are earning from doing what you love? I know that it will take time and money to bring in traffic to blogs. There's really a lot to consider to make it work.

When I first started blogging I often read where one should list their blog in a Blog Directory. I don't hear people give that specific advice these days. Directories were recommended because supposedly it helped with SEO and traffic. Has something happened during the past decade? Do people even use blog directories any more?

As an aspiring blogger, I found this post both motivational and informative, but I could say the same for pretty much all of your content!

Starting out is always the hardest. When the traffic comes in at a slow trickle, it can be pretty tough to stay motivated. It’s good to keep in mind that this is how all bloggers started out, and that success in this field doesn’t happen overnight. It's going to be a grind some days, much like any other career, but can ultimately be very much worth the time invested.

I have plans of having my own blog and I will definitely pursue it when I retire from my office job. Time is my main issue now but I don’t stop learning and doing research to keep me up to date on the trends in blogging. There were so many discussions that I had read about making money with blogging especially when you have many regular readers. That’s my main objective in the near future and I hope to succeed with my perseverance and patience in writing blogs.

I have heard that many people are making money through blogging which could really be a good source of passive income. Blogging helps a certain company or websites to achieve what it wants to have. It is mainly because blogs can reach many people at a given time.

I would have to agree with this article, and indeed worth sharing for bloggers. I would have to agree with'Blogs bring in a good amount of traffic after they've matured.' Basically, it is true that new bloggers get lower amount of traffic. Also, bloggers are really making a decent amount of money because of the visitors they are getting each day however, it is not that easy to achieve so spending time and effort is a must if you want to be a successful blogger someday. Posting good and trendy contents can basically help.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I also agree with the noted point, 'Optimized content is what the search engines are looking for.' As a reader, I sometimes try to search on Google for my report, however, the right content does not appear when I am using the search engine. I sometimes get pissed in this situation because it eats much of my time. Dealing with common, simpler and well-known words or phrases in optimizing a content will definitely help in making decent amount of traffic.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I strongly agree with the noted point, 'Your website stays fresh and inviting.' Taking time writing better, greater and more trendy content will make more amount of traffic because readers nowadays are more interested in something trendy.

Yes I really believe that our website must stay fresh and enviting so that more people would be encouraged to visit our website regularly. We must be updated at all times so that rankings would also increase which is really beneficial on our part. We must make some way to attract more traffic on our website so that we can really earn a great penny from it.

Another great article! Thanks! I would love to start one myself, and all that is stopping me is where to begin. What niche should I choose? How to drive traffic to my site? Should I use WordPress? These are the questions I have in my mind right now, but when I see those who have been successful in it honestly I feel envious. I can do it too, and all it takes is the will to win! LOL.

Where to Begin?

You could start with something that looks like a business plan. Ask yourself what you want to gain from your blog, how you intend to get what you are after and what you’ll be offering to your target audience. That is where I would start before I create a blog.

What niche to choose?

Don’t just choose a niche which you think will be profitable. Create a blog whose sole intention is to solve a specific problem. Since people predominantly use the net to find solutions to their problems if you know of a problem and you are sure you can provide the solutions then this is all the information you need to choose the right niche for you.

Traffic?

There are numerous ways to get traffic to your blog. A few of these are: using ads to get traffic, using SEO to get organic traffic from search engines, sharing your blog url on social media, and more.

As for the CMS, Wordpress certainly is great.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

NerdIndeed
I want to thank you for the fantastic insights you offered Jeane. This will definitely help. I might use WordPress, the premium plan that is $8 so that it can be monetized. My only dilemma is the niche. It's helpful that you mentioned 'to solve a problem' I completely forgot about that.

I still have to audit what I know and skillful at so that I can select a niche that I'll be passionate about in the long run. As of this moment, I am still clueless. Thanks!

Right. When you're taking some time writing up tremendous content material, you may hold your website sparkling and updated.
