Page rank can be increased by using different methods of SEO process.You must submit link of the website to the high pr directories and social bookmarking sites.

To calculate the PageRank for a page, all of its inbound links are taken into account. These are links from within the site and links from outside the site. The more links that are pointing in to the site, the more importance it is given.

However, if the links pointing in are from known link farms, or are spammy links, they will be discredited. Another deciding factor is the authority and quality of the sites linking in and their PR.

It can also lower you PR if you are linking out to any banned sites etc.

SEO is the only strategy that ensures that your website gets a good position on search engines result page. There are different ways to do SEO
off page: building backlinks, social signals
on page: adding keywords, developing contents
technical: improving design, site speed

You should combine all of the aforementioned techniques for a better PR.

We know that there are so many ways to increase the SEO rank of the website. Some say the keywords and backlinks are the most potent and another says the content. Maybe I will go with the content because it is the backbone of the website. Without the content, the website is practically nothing regardless of the millions of backlinks and keywords that you are putting in. With a good content, you can never go wrong with SEO.
