Why is my site ranking so low? Negative SEO or Really Lousy Site Content?

    When a site owner cries foul that a competitor has aimed negative SEO at his site, is there merit to the claim or could low ranking be more related to lousy SEO practices such as thin/copied content; bad backlinks acquired by the site owner; linking to bad sites; paid links?     WOW it's actually nice relief to hear this video. And i didn't know about this "disallow links" Google tool, which can really help a lot. Nice share!

    Negative SEO is not just backlinks , sadly!. Just with a bot to click on competitor's sites and performing a DDOS attack to slow down the server response time can also bring the ranking down. And it can effect you whole trustrank of your website.

    From what I have read about the negative SEO such as submitting the link of a competitor’s website to Google to be disallowed, it is not a simple submission to have a negative effect. Google does an evaluation and probably it is looking for a valid reason for that. Just like blocking an IP address from a forum, it has to have good reason why you are blocking the said IP address otherwise the website owner will disagree since a visitor gives traffic. I guess that’s the same with Google.
