Hello,
I've been working online for the past few years and I'm working full time. I usually make enough to quite comfortable go onto the next month.. But, I can never really estimate how much I will be able to earn as sales will come and go. That being said, new freelancers are starting their online careers every day..

Have you ever had a coach?
Have you ever been a coach?

And finally,

Do you think 1on1 coaching can be worth the money you invest? (The money you invest for becoming one or the money you invest for hiring one.)

I wouldn't say that I AM a coach, but I do have been acting like a "teacher" and helped some of my previous clients to establish their own businesses in various fields both offline and online. Mostly online though. An additional question regarding this. Do you think I could take some classes for this particular thing, and what would those classes be in that case? By doing that, I should have some sort of qualification for potential future prospects.. I suppose I would be able to present myself as a coach/teacher/manager of some sort by doing this? What would you suggest?

To hire a coach would be very smart idea for anyone who is thinking seriously about business. Most of freelancers do this job as something "on the side" and not much of us take it seriously like it should be. Also most of freelancers learning it hard and long way by searching internet for tips and tutorials, copying what other do and so on, while it could be done much faster and smarter by hiring a coach. Investing some amount of money to hire a coach would be smart idea specially for newbie, but even for someone with experience, if you want to learn more from someone who is already guru.
I have never being a coach because i always think there is so much more to learn even for my self, while i have already so much experience in many of online freelancing. In other hand you can see someone with 1 year of experience calling him self "expert" already

I believe i should start coaching to pass my knowledge to someone less experienced, but i would also consider hiring someone to coach me with something i don't know yet, because we are working in business where we have endless possibilities to do more in many different fields and earn more money.
If we all take it more seriously and treat freelancing like opening your own shop in shopping center we would be more dedicated to our work and quality which could result in earning more money...

Hey anwebservices,
I agree with you. I'm self-taught too, with the use of both paid and free information about various topics. However, I do believe that you'll appear more "legit" and trustworthy if you have some sort of business degree, if you would be offering coaching services that is. But, what I can't fully understand, is what kind of education or course one should attend. There's a bunch of different classes, courses and educations out there. Which one do you think would be a proper fit for something like this? - That would most likely also depend on what field you're about to be coaching in.. Any how, I would love to hear your thoughts on this.

That is very interesting. I self taught myself and over the years I shared a lot of my experience with beginners who were trying to find ways to start off in freelancing. Obviously i did not charge anything for this, and as I read your post I must say it is an interesting alternative to use a skill we all have already to possibly make some money out of it. It would not be a bad idea for sure, especially if you know of people who would really like to learn. At the moment I do not have time for this, but if I were to be less busy I would definitely consider being a coach.

Hello EliteWriter,
Coaching can be a very lucrative business, at least it seems that way. If you had the time to do this, how would you set everything up? Would you bring people to a skype chat and offer your experience 1on1 or would you prefer to have several participants? Would you even use Skype for this? Would you set up a website with step by step videos, tutorials and all that, and offer email support?

There's literally tons of things you could do. Would you mind sharing some of your thoughts on this?

Hi hitmeasap I think your idea is good about hiring coach as a freelancer. Specially if you like grow up your business and achieved the target goal. But I do not think most of the freelancer do not have idea before start such job and maximum come in this place try to earn some pocket money. And I have been working past few years too but still I do not hire coach for this purpose. And I agree with anwebservice on internet still lot of ingredient remains to learn about freelancing and we can get it easily by searching online and I never be coach any one still but irregularly I consult locally, when somebody come to me to know about freelancing. And it may effective for newbie who do not know anything about freelancing and such related job.

I guess working as a coach for freelancers is worth it because you get a feeling that you have helped someone learn to earn money. But in terms of earnings, I don’t think it is that good because beginning freelancers usually have no money to spare and perhaps they will just try to learn on their own and get a first-hand experience of how to do things online in order to earn good money.
