Do you disable Adblocker if websites ask you to?

    More and more people are downloading and are using an Adblocker extension, or add-on with their browsers. Sites now use some preventive measures to get their websites visitors and/or traffic to turn off the adblocker by blocking their content, or by using annoying popups to ask you to turn off the adblocker while visiting the site. Do you support the website by disabling your adblocker for websites that ask you to turn the adblocker off, or do you keep the Adblocker enabled? Have you ever experienced this type of behavior when viewing your favorite websites? Do you use an adblocker? If you don't use an adblocker, what is your reason?

    If a reputable website asks me to add them to my authorized websites within my adblocker I may do it. Normally if I get asked to lift the limitation from a website that I've never heard of I just laugh and close the tab Do you disable Adblocker if websites ask you to?

    I understand that websites make a good amount of revenue from their ads and I will support the ones I like and also trust. But if for some reason I land on IwillTakeYourInfoAndYourIdentity.com and they ask me to remove my ad block.... I'm not going to Do you disable Adblocker if websites ask you to?

    It's understandable when some websites ask you to remove it because they use third party advertising platforms and on some of these there are people paying a lot of money to get a small banner on all the pages. By having ad blocker activated you will not see any of these ads and the advertiser will see the amount of impressions shown within their dashboard. If half of the traffic going to the site has adblocker active then the impressions may only show 50% of what the admin was saying the advertiser would get. It would make the admin look like he's inflating his numbers in order to get a sale. And I know from experience that it is extremely difficult to get your money back from a bad ad because each month a websites impressions can sky rocket or drop into a pit and come up the next month. So getting your money back for a bad month isn't likely Do you disable Adblocker if websites ask you to?

    No. I will never disable my Adblocker! I hate all crappy commercials, ads and pop us so definitely no. Not in a million years. I haven't and I will not disable it, and especially not for some lame reasons such as a website wants me to. I decide myself, if or if not to disable it. Whenever I stumble across websites who's asking for these things I just leave immediately.

    There was ONE time when I actually did disable my adblocker and it was because of a stream I watched. The commentator told, and hear this, he told and did NOT ask the viewers to disable their adblockers, and he explained the reason. So I thought, yeah, why not. This guy is legit. After about 60 seconds I enabled it again.

    I don't usually disable my AdBlock even when I asked. I find it a turn off when I am told or asked to turn it off. I get suspicious.

    No I never disable it. I just hate it when certain sites sort of lock you out unless you disable your ad blocker. Forbes is one such example. It just does not make sense to me because they are giving up on many visitors as many people have an ad blocker on their computer and they do not have any right to make you turn it off. I understand that sites need the money they get from adverts, but they cannot end up being a nuisance to visitors simply to make them see the adverts. It is irritating and silly in my opinion. Rather than turn it off or wait for access, I just go to another site.

    To be honest, I don’t do anything to the setting of my browser so if there is an ad that needs to be shown then I wouldn’t see it because of the ad blocker. But I am not sure if my browser has an ad blocker because I am not the one tweaking the setting. When I am going to a website that asks to allow me the notification I click on “block” just to be on the safe side.
