What do you think of chat bots?

A chat bot is basically a computer program which is designed to simulate conversation with human users. This is a rather recent form of artificial intelligence. Chat bots can transform the way you interact with the internet. There is the chat bot called Take for example, that was released last March. Facebook announced last April that developers can build chat bots into Messenger.
There are various others, but they still have a long way to go it seems as there is plenty of criticism. Many feel that they are still not that clever yet, but what is your opinion in this regard?

I use to chat with a chat bot, you may have heard of "CleverBot" or ALICE? However, due to the public having access, and since the bots basically learn from the public, the bots seemed to be the most arrogant, evil little things known to creation. So I'm thinking the human population is not yet ready to use artificial intelligence due to internet users actions in making those bots so evil.

However, if the bots were programmed to be kind, and learned from human interaction, and were positive I would have no issue with them. To me,they just seem very evil. Some of their replies are very odd too.

If chat bots were able to actually learn and keep the dialect interactive, I would see them as being beneficial to a website or software. Likesaid above, we use to have cleverbot but it was easily abused and became redundant. I only used cleverbot when I wanted to kill time online because I wanted to see what it would say to my questions lol.

If a chat bot was tried, tested, and proven to actually work... I would definitely set it into my code and let it be my dedicated support system. The only problem is that they technology just isn't there in terms of bots. If we could get alexa or siri put into our personal websites chat bot then we'd all be using it. But both of those are not for sale, or monthly subscription, so we don't have access to something great like that What do you think of chat bots?

Thanks for asking very technical issue. Yes! I saw several website using such chat bot and working very smoothly as like human nature. Though, it is operate by computer program. And Yes I saw many type of chat bot on internet. I do not see they are not working fine. I think they work well instead human support. There has may some limitation and It may need to update more and it is as usual. But, at this time such program very popular and giving best support. Facebook also going to use chat bot for their messenger. So, I think it is great innovation for supporting people instead human.

I haven’t tried talking with a chat bot but based on what I gathered from the comments above, the chat bot is a learning program. That is one good novelty, I guess, because it is amusing for me to talk with a program that can learn from me. But I am wondering why most comments point to the evil ways of the chat bot. Was it designed to be evil in its ways or is it just the effect of the conversation?
