What is so special about USA traffic visitors?

In getting traffic visitors to mostly a new website, why do most webmasters prefer a USA traffic visitors as compared to other traffic from other countries? This is one thing that i have noticed about sellers offering traffic gig services.
what makes USA traffic so special and like gold?. Is it that USA traffic do convert much faster than others? Please i need to know about this.

I can't say that I'm an expert in this field, and I won't say that I know the reason for this, but I do believe I might be on to something with my answer at least.

First of all, United States of America is a huge country. With dollar as a currency. And we all know that there are some fantastic, innovative, and amazing freelancers, creators and inventors from the US. My best clients are usually from the US. They pay what I ask for, they don't discuss things for several hours because of a tiny order of a few dollars.. They are indeed "pure gold", for you as a freelancer, or as a business. They spend a lot money & people from other countries like India, Bangladesh and so on, earn a lot of money from these people, even if they just earn a few dollars, as the currency are different and they have cheaper living expenses.

With that being said. People from USA are indeed good traffic, and that traffic will bring you good results as long as you offer something of high value. They are money in the eyes of most freelancers.

As a marketplace user who lives in the United States of 'Murica, I would like to thank you on behalf of our citizens. Here's another reason: America is a powerful country, with many important aspects. We have freedoms other countries don't have. We often earn more money than other countries. Now, the short answer is "money".

Americans have a lot of money, even if an American thinks they are poor, there is always someone else living on a dollar a week, month, or day. If you can get American traffic to a website, primarily American, then your advertisement rates go up, the site earns more money, and you become richer. There is about 330 million americans, and you can be certain that a majority of them are browsing the internet.

Traffic from USA is important. First of all USA citizens surfing a lot and spending time online, other then that they are also interactive in clicking ads and specially very used to buy almost everything online, where most of them paying even bills online. So if your blog offering some kind of ads like adsense or if there is something for sale on website, most of sales will be made by USA people, if you look at your stats later.
In addition to that, if you selling some ad space on your website and having a lot of USA traffic, you will be able to look for higher price too. There is some other reasons too, but i guess this is main thing

USA traffic visitors seem to be the favorites because of various reasons. First of all there are so many people in the US, and most of them are great online users. Unlike other countries where the use of internet is there, but there are still many people who do not make good use of it. As stated by others it is also about the money. You can set prices a bit higher for Americans and they won't mind that much. US visitors seem to be more straightforward and willing to do what it takes, when many people from other countries tend to be more reluctant and insecure online.

The USA is a large population of highly connected peoples that have a large discretionary spending capability, more than other countries. Demographics of a country play a big roll when advertising globally or even locally. The proper allocation of marketing dollars for specific countries, even geo-targeted to a local level allows for pinpoint targeted marketing. This helps to increase ROI, return on investment. Demographics allows to target males, females, households with children, race, religion or household income levels. Since, the demographic data is so, readily available and incredibly vast for the USA marketers have become very good at advertising to and reaching a targeted market segment.

Why do the aliens in the movies always land in USA? It is always USA isn't it?

They are a first world country and it seems USA comes out tops for a lot of things, so why not with online traffic?

Hi chetaseo thanks for your question. Yes I agree with you, most of the website owner really targeting for getting USA traffic. There has some reason. And I think USA is the first world country and most of the citizen has economical afford compare with other country. Beside technologically they are per away first and as per as I know maximum USA citizen spending lot of time on internet each day. And another importance things is currency like Dollar. And most of the online business running based on US dollar. Because, easy to exchange. So, if you think to sell any product on internet, you may first think as exchange as dollar and must to think as first world country and USA may first choose.

I think people from the US tend to spend more money than others from other countries. It is simply a way to get paying customers onboard. I think that it is just a way to get hits from people who might actually buy products and are not just there killing time.

I have been to several forums that accept only US residents for members. One writer friend said that those kinds of sites are choosy because they do not want their traffic to be diluted because traffic from some countries can harm the site. He did not specify the “bad” countries although I know it was not my country. Maybe the search engines have discriminations of some countries?
