    How important is a SSL certificate for SEO in 2016?

    Google has started to value HTTPS more and more over the years. Do you think it has become a necessary must have in a SEO to-do list?

    I personally agree, especially for online stores, but I think even content blogs should have one.

    having SSL certificate and getting https protocol is very important. If cost is not your primary concern you should always have SSL certificate in your website. This not only build trusts among people but also with search engines. I am not sure but I hear that Google Chrome, one of the most used browsers, will not recognize a website that does not have https protocol. I don't have SSL certificate on my website because as for now it is beyond my budget, however, when I have budget, I will certainly have SSL certificate on my websites.
