Hi all. So I just posted something on Listing Dock community about a woman hand knitting Pokémon Go characters and Pokéball's by hand and is leaving them out in the wild for kids in her local area to find. It was a must post for that site, and since there has been some discussion here before on how to coin in on the Pokémon Go trend I had to post this here with everyone too.

Discovered! A way to make money from the Pokemon Go trend!

This gave me an excellent idea as soon as I saw it. I had an Eureka moment and a light bulb went off in my head! LOL. But seriously, this could be an excellent way to coin in and make money from the Pokémon Go trend. How? By doing the same sort of thing as this woman has done and creating your own crochet Pokémon and Pokéballs. Then simple create a Pokéstop and leave it there for someone to find. Then you could leave some message with them rolled up in a sheet of paper or something. A QR code perhaps that they have to scan on their phone and it takes you to a landing page that sells Pokémon Go tips or something.

Here is how you could do it.

Create some crochet Pokémon and Pokéballs.
You could create a WTB on Listing Dock and request it from someone.
Create a Pokéstop and leave the crochet Pokémon or Pokéballs there.
Make sure to leave a message with it too a laminated business card or something.
Put a message on it like "Scan this QR code for Pokémon Go tips and Catch 'em All!"
Send them to a landing page that sells Pokémon Go tips and tricks.
Sit back and collect the profits and make more Pokémon and Pokéballs.
Rinse and repeat steps 1 to 6 over and over again.

Obviously you'd have to create a lot of them probably. But it's all marketing right?

Those crocheted Pokemon are really cute and easily recognizable. It was indeed a good idea and a very creative one. I think it is a great thing to make the most out of any current trend or craze. This is what makes a good business minded person. So your ideas are very creative and they could actually work out quite well. I have also tried to come up with a way that I could manage to make some money from this Pokemon Go craze by launching a service particularly for articles wirtten on this topic. I got some people who were interested within the first week actually.

Oh really, I was wondering about that Elitewriter! I wrote an article on the Pokemon Craze on my website, about how to cash in on it.

And yes I saw your service for the Pokemon Go articles. It is a pity that I saw that only after writing my own article LOL. I kicked myself thinking that I spent a whole day working away on researching and writing my article and then seeing I could have purchased an article from you instead

This is a pretty awesome idea

I was actually going to set up a poke-mongo website (yeah I said poke mongo lol) and try to pull in some traffic since it's a pretty huge trend right now. I would have never thought of something like this because I have no clue how to even knit lol

I did see something like this that would increase the foot traffic for businesses. Basically you would create a pokestop, or whatever it's called, and offer deals to pokemongo players. You could have a banner up that says something like "XX% off for all Pokemon Go Players!" and they'll think it's just a coincidence lol.

I know that there have been talks about businesses paying for advertising on pokemongo, but it wouldn't be an ad, it would be to turn their physical location into a pokestop or a gym for people to come in and play other users. This would increase your sales, but it might piss off the other people who are already there lol. I guess you could section off a part of your store or business, inside or outside, for all the players that would end up coming to play. I wonder how much money 10 to 18 year old kids carry on them when playing pokemongo lol. I know a few older people who play it, but the main age group is younger I would assume.

Anyways, it's all about marketing like you said and we should all abuse this trend while it's hot

I think that is a pretty cool idea but I am not sure how the makers of Pokémon Go would react to making money off of their idea for an application. Do you think she could possibly get in trouble for this?

It seems that the excessive popularity of the Pokemon Go during its heyday had triggered the adrenaline of some people in cashing in on the issue. Over here, there are vehicles for hire specifically for that purpose. For a certain amount, you can use the car with the driver for 5 to 8 hours for chasing the Pokemon characters. The ride comes complete with assistance regarding the game and a bottle of water for the maximum of 4 players in the car. And now those woven items, they look good but will they still sell now? No offense meant, just being frank.
