There have probably been over 1,000 times that I've read online "I have $X,XXX to invest in a clothing company. How can I set everything up?" and of course the sharks start swimming because they smell blood in the water lmao
I'll usually piss off these sharks or harpies because I'll go into detail about how I set up a profitable website selling physical products and I've never actually had one of the items in my hand lol

I'll go over how to get traffic, sourcing quality items, and basically setting up everything to work on autopilot
And that's what I'm going to do here ;)
- Step 1: If you don't have an idea of what you want to sell, go to Amazon and figure out what is hot and what sells time and time again regardless of the season or trends. If you can find a few items that fit into this criteria, you'll be golden. You may not find anything, but that's ok.
- Step 2: If you didn't find anything from step 1, start looking for something you would want to buy for yourself on aliexpress.com. After you get your niche, look for the best sellers in that niche who have the highest rating and the most sales. This generally is the best way to ensure you won't be dealing with a reseller or a bad seller.
- Step 3: After your source all your products, go over to shopify.com and begin to set up a website. I like shopify for all my ecommerce stuff because the back ends systems are already set up and it frees up a good amount of time for me to just add products and monitor sales. You can use a free theme and customize it to your liking and it will look like you paid thousands to get it designed.
- Step 4: After your website is set up, it's time to add all your products
This might take a while if you're not familiar with the shopify dashboard. But after you get into 5+ products added you should be able to hammer out more listings in a quicker time.
- Step 5: So now you have your website and all your products listed, what's next? Advertising! Shopify will usually give first time users a credit on adwords so that you can get started advertising without investing your own money. The vouchers are usually $100 so you can get a good amount of traffic with that. Just don't bid $1.00 per click because it's free money. Set your campaign at $10 a day and test test test! Don't look at the $100 voucher as a free sale certificate, see it as a free tutorial on what to do inside the advertising platform and you'll be much more successful down the road.
- Step 6: Pay attention to your sales and stay on top of your emails. The beginning is crucial and one bad review can hurt a lot since you don't have any PR out there yet.
When you get a sale just go buy it from the seller on aliexpress and add the buyers info into the correct fields when purchasing. The item will then be sent directly to them and you pay for it. Of course you'll mark up the products on your own website in order to profit
The beauty of all this is that you can outsource everything 100% and focus on your sales

You can post a WTB here on SeoClerks or any other freelance type website and post your requirements and what you're willing to pay. There is actually a decent amount of work involved in this so if you do outsource everything you might have to pay a pretty penny unless you hire someone in India or the Philippines.
You can even take this one step further and see if you can get your items branded by the companies over on aliexpress. Usually they will be willing to do so, but you'll have to purchase in bulk for this to work.

You know I had an online baby store here in South Africa and the work and expense that goes into getting clothing manufactured, then storing it, packaging it and then the logistics... It was an awful load of work, plus add in all the website maintenance and promoting the offers.
Well lets just say that I got tired of all the work and closed my store at the beginning of this year since I learned that there are so many other ways (easier ways) to make money online.
I haven't tried this out but I did come across Shopify after I had paid so much to have a website designed specially for me. If I had known about them I probably would have gone that route!
Anyway log story short, I really think I would much prefer to try something like this in future if I wanted to go back into sales. Thanks Razzy this is great.
