List building is tough, but can be done easily with a few tricks and small investment

I haven't seen much that helps out people with generating emails for list building, so I'm here to help with what I know

First off you need to optimize your pages because people won't just add their emails to a form if they don't understand or get sold on what the content says. Think of your email capture pages as a sales page and the sale is the person entering their email. You don't make any money when they submit their emails to your list, but that's not what we're targeting right now because you can monetize this later on

When you're optimizing the text on your page you need to make it short and sweet. Get right to the point and hit then hit them with a form just under the text. When I say "right to the point" I don't mean that you should add a "Sign Up To Make Money Online!" Get a little fancy with it and pull them in. Give them some information that will make them go "Huh, how did they do that?" and you'll see a ton of people signing up.

Now the small investment comes in when you set up the website (domain, hosting, design, etc.). Another small investment is using PPC campaigns to increase your subscribers/lists.

I like using facebook to increase my email lists. This method will work well if you can configure your campaign so that you get the lowest CPC you can. For me I have a news related website that is specific to a certain niche, I'm not going to share my niche because then anyone could copy me lol. So I'll set up my CPC campaign and have the ad point at my email capture page.

• The ad title will say something like "Niche Specific News - FREE to Sign Up" or something along those lines. Obviously "Niche Specific" is the niche you're in
  
• The description should be short and sweet as well. People don't read ads, so you need to give the a reason to look at yours. I like putting in there "100% FREE" because even if they just skim it, they'll know that they're getting something for free and they are more likely to sign up lol. Even if what is free is your emails, they'll probably sign up because they don't want to miss out
  
• For the image you'll have to split test a lot of ads to figure out what works best for you since every niche is different and I can't tell you exactly what will work for this. Normally people smiling while behind a computer or shaking hands works well with a little bit of text. But again, not every niche will work with those types of images.
  
• Targeting is key. I'll use gaming as an example... You can target people who like gaming or you can even get more specific and target individual games. Don't venture out of your niche when targeting just because you can target more people. If I'm in the pet hotel niche and I target Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift I'll have a much larger target group, but the conversions will be pretty horrible.
