4 tips on how to select the right team photos Tutorial

First off I want to go over the typical photo where people are in business suites, smiling and shaking hands. These images look tacky even on big banking type websites so what makes you think you can pull it off? lol These images usually have a blue tone to them and always have someone smiling and standing in a forced pose, which is pretty obvious.

Anyway, here we go

• Use some color in your photos - Like I said above, a lot of these images have a blue tone to them which is the standard "corporate" color. I guess it has to do something with blue collar workers, but I could be completely wrong.
  
• No forced smiles - Having a genuine smile in a photo is a killer sales generator. You can really tell when someone is posing for a photo vs when they are caught in a picture with genuine happiness on their face. Your employees may think it's a bit creepy that you're always taking pictures of them laughing, but they'll understand when you're done lol.
  
• Be different - Don't use the typical pose or setup where you have people sitting at a table or have everyone grouped up like it's a grade school group picture lol. Have an office party and take pictures of people in their natural emotions. Anything that is set up will come out as pretty basic.
  
• Show diversity - When I say to show diversity I'm not just talking about skin color. Add people of all ages so it's a natural picture. Not everyone is in their 20s and taking group pictures. Be sure to add everyone of all ages, shapes, and color
  

These are just some basic ideas on how you can make your business images more genuine and not forced. In todays market, unless you're a bank, you need to be more open with your customers and this is one way of letting them know exactly who you are. Showing them that you have emotions and get along will go a long way when someone decides to sign up. I know that I want to sign up with a team of people who get along and do great things over a team of people who are all about the money, and that can be conveyed in an image.
