Starting an online business. What's holding you back?

    There are so many people looking for ways to make a secondary income online which they hope will turn into a full time income so they can quit their jobs. This rarely happens, but it is definitely possible because I'm living that dream right now. I'm not saying that I'm a millionaire, because I'm not even close to that. I'm saying that I make enough to support myself and my family while having a few pennies left over in the bank so that I can save up for a family vacation in the next 20 years lol Starting an online business. What Now a lot of you are saying "Why don't you just look for a day job in your field?" and the simple answer to that is I don't really want to answer to a boss that has been doing the same work for 6 months and I've got 13 years. I've seen how work intimidation plays out and it always results in the less experience person with power feeling that the more experienced worker is going to take their job. I would eventually get weeded out unless I got on the radar of the higher ups. And I'm saying this because I actually lived it lol Starting an online business. What So I started my own online business and never looked back.

    So what's holding you back from starting your own online business? I know that a lot of people just simply don't have the time, and I do understand that because I barely have time to eat dinner because of how much I work lol Starting an online business. What I would like to say to you that it is possible to run a successful online business and be busy in your daily tasks. You can begin with affiliate marketing and once that brings in enough money to quit your day job, you should still keep pushing Starting an online business. What Don't quit, keep hammering out those 9 to 5 daily tasks at your job and let your affiliate profits pile up.

    After you get enough money to have someone develop an idea into a website and you can market it properly, or hire a company to do it, you can now treat your online business as a baby that you need to dedicate your time to it.


    Do what I did.
    1. Grind your day job
    2. Hoard your profits
    3. Write down ideas and go over them each month to expand on how detailed they can get.
    4. Invest your online profits into your best, most profitable, idea without breaking the bank.
    5. Invest your time into your new baby Starting an online business. What


    Don't skip any of those steps above because you can't be successful if you're constantly taking chances. Sure, if you have a ton of money already, you can push it into your ideas. But I'm looking at this from a boot strapping point of view Starting an online business. What

    This sounds alot like my story and i appreciate the value of having people to relate to. I worked at a job and never really got noticed or raises in fact other people got raises based off f the work i was doing under them. How could i advance and make a better living if nobody noticed me? Thats when i starting selling services on Seoclerks. First starting off was rough and i had alot of competition but i made my own logo and provided a service that was better and faster than anyone else so i grew. Although my sales have been down for the past 6 weeks or so im still grinding it out and hoping things will turn around. Thank you for sharing!

    This is what I'm doing at the moment hoarding my profits. But keeping both a day job and doing freelancing on the side is very demanding.
    I barely have time for anything else, I guess my wife and family understand to some degree, that I'm doing this for my future, but sometimes I would just want to work 8 hours per day, 5 days per week and that's it, really take the rest of the time off.

    But I can't, I'm addicted and I'm also not ready to be a full freelancer again, I still need to have a cash reserve plus a good amount for starting a business. But I'll make it there, already set a goal, in 5 years I want to be totally independent, working only for me.

    Anyways, cool story Razzy, had to say it inspired me to re-think my goal! I may want to get there faster!

    I really appreciate Razzy your post yes the sky is the limit when it comes to making money online.Once you have some fundamentals down and understand marketing, you can do anything literally. I have worked for myself for the last 20 years in one form or another from running a hospitality business at home to being involved myself as a musician in the music scene and then the work I do here on the side . I do keep busy since I am still doing all three things I just mentioned!

    I have already launched my online business, however, I am staggering. I waited for years before I launched my online business. I learned every nuances of online business, however, my knowledge is not helping me to progress. I don't think starting a business is hard, the hardest job is to sustain your business. It is true that you cannot make money on day two, however, you also cannot wait for three months without a penny earned.

    These are some steps simplified. I tried to follow this the thing is that I don't have strong service to offer. As in I am working as VA. And I am into WordPress services too. But the thing is that customers are not consistent. And I can rely on single job for long. Because If I do that then things are not going to be easy going for me. And on that front it'd be reasonable to say that things such as this do hold me back in many ways. So when it comes to starting online business one has to work harder and get things properly handled. In some cases though people want to make money with online business. It does not replace their day job in many ways.

    In my journey in this site, I get to learn so many things about online business. Now I have a myriad of ideas on what to do when I finally have enough time for myself. With my full time job, I can only spare a few hours each day for my freelancing. And putting up an online business needs my full attention so it cannot be a reality for now. But when I retire, I know that my hands will be full of work in the internet.
