Though she owned a computer since she was three years old. It's just a regular part of her life now. Sometimes, I tell her about being a kid and growing up without the internet and she gives me this *amazed face* as if to say, "How did you survive!?"

Is your wiring bad in your house, or in the room that your modem is located in? Last time, I had to get one of the technicians to reroute a wire to a different port, and then stream the wire literally across the house. This was the only option for me, and it looked bad but the internet stopped going out.
Another option you may want to try is to make sure your wifi drivers are updated. If you're using Windows 10, try to see if there is a connection problem with the type of laptop you're using. Some wifi drivers from my own experience, are either too old, or too "new" for some systems, so no matter how many times you update, or reset the modem the problem won't fix itself. Now, another option to do is replace the wifi adapter, or try another one and see if that helps some. This occurs to me a lot, especially when the wifi attempts to automatically connect to a wifi connection. Sometimes it doesn't connect at all and I have to contact my Internet Service Provider so they can reset the entire system from their end.
