Recently I was talking to a friend and he gave me the opportunity to come in and do some sales generation for his company. But when I get hired for something like this I like to go above and beyond so I'll also try to help build a brand and increase the positive reputation of the website or company so the client or friend is super happy after everything is done.
When I go about this I usually take 1 to 2 weeks setting up a plan of attack and this normally comes in the form of forum marketing to start the sales train rolling down the tracks.
- To begin, you'll obviously need a website that is optimized so it can close a lead when it comes in, but that's pretty obvious so I'm not going to go over that.
- Next you'll need some sweet infographics to post on the forums. I like getting them at least 800 pixels wide so that they can take up the entire forum thread space on a normal 15" to 17" monitor. Larger monitors will usually work too, but I don't have one so I can't be 100% sure on that lol. For these infographics I pay my designer and he gets them back to me in about a week. - Now that you have your infographics source, you need to know where to put them! I always target niche related forums so that my forum thread has the biggest impact on leads, SEO and overall awesomeness. People tend to share more if it's niche related
- Now you'll need to optimize your threads. You'll need to get your keyword in the title so that it helps with SEO. This is also called "parasiting" and basically means you're using the popularity, PR, DA, etc. to boost your own popularity, sales and rankings.
- Now to get the biggest bang for your buck, you'll need to add some text under the infographic, actual text and not something contained within the image. You'll want to optimize this text with your desired keyword so that the search engines can figure out exactly what the thread is about in the shortest amount of time.
- A little trick I like to do is add my domain name to the title along with my keyword. This will help with branding and goes a long way. You'll see a lot of direct traffic from this because not everyone wants to click a link because they're always cautious. So if they see the domain name, they can just add it to their address bar and click enter
- After you get all of your threads up and running, you'll want to run a general SEO campaign on them. Find a seller here on SeoClerks that will take up to as many URLs as you have forum threads. This way you can just put them all in one order and target 1 or 2 keywords and you're done. Over time you should see your forum thread beginning to rank for your keywords if you're lucky
This takes a bit of time depending on how many forums you're targeting. I would say try to hit 10 different forums so that you can hopefully take the top 10 positions in Google, Yahoo! and Bing for your desired keyword

I tried designing some on Canva... but yeah my skills are what I would call just a little bit limited LOL Oh nice one Razzy. I always love all your tutorials. I am finding forums a bit tricky though.
