Well referral traffic is actually the traffic that comes from other websites. Some publishing you link anywhere can eventually lead to referral traffic.

The easiest way is to post the link of facebook.

When you say referral traffic is the traffic that comes from other websites then that is clearly backlinks, right? Technical people have the propensity of coining terms and inventing new words for their convenience. They are not thinking of the simple people who would get confused with what they are saying. I understand backlinks now after a long study and then here comes referral traffic which is new to me. Thanks for clarifying that referral traffic is the traffic that was effected by the backlink of your site.

* Article Promotion
* Forum/Community Marketing
* Press Release
* Classified
* Social Media Sites(Facebook,Twitter and so on)
* Social Bookmarks

Use a traffic exchange website like hitleap.com . In this website you can collect minutes (Time) by viewing others websites and use those minutes you have collected to show your Referral Link to others.

Social media is my best bet for referral traffic. The concept is posting the promotion of your website and let your followers or friends not only click on the link but also share your post which means it will spread further. Although it is easier said that done but practically anyone can do that kind of marketing especially when you have an active account in social media, you can start right now.
