In fact, power words can actually get you better positions because organic CTR tends to increase when you use power words in your Title tags. Google sees you have a higher than average CTR for your positions and will dedicate you provide a better user experience, therefore getting your a better position in search results is needed. Power word won't affect your rankings in any bad and direct way as far as you are using your main keywords in one for or another in both title tag and meta description.
