Hi everyone, yes I haven't been around much since I have been so busy working on my websites. A while back I was a regular in the community discussions but I haven't had the spare time. Anyway a post by Mike caught my eye since I am such a Bear Grylls fan that I couldn't help myself but to reply to it and he wanted to know where I've been.

So my answer is that firstly I have been here, I have been buying a few services and I have been checking out the community discussion every now and then... in silent mode

So what have I been up to? Growing my mommy blog in a BIG way! It is so exciting that I can't wait to get up in the morning again.

With the help of someone that is really hot into Wordpress and all those horrible technical things I hate, my mommy blog has become a social network too plus we have added forums. Yes the forums that I tried to launch unsuccessfully a few years back because I didn't know what I was doing and since my website was at that time an online store I couldn't devote much time and effort to it.

We have also almost perfected my baby competitions so that mommies are being driven to my website like there is no tomorrow.

Then I am grafting like a maniac adding 4 new blog posts a day to my website which might I add is no small challenge right?

Thankfully people are noticing that my website is getting busier and people are lining up at the door to send me guest posts so I am making a nice side income selling guest posts on my website, making it easier to get my 4 posts a day in!

I remember getting excited last year when I managed to get my Google Adsense income up from about R0.05 a day to R5.00 day... well now I am getting averaging about R50 a day and my biggest day's earning was a few days ago of R150. (Approximately R13.50 = $1)

My page views in the last 30 days have almost doubled since March and I just can't wait to see how this all turns out! Imagine how much I can charge for a guest post on my website in one years time if I continue to grow my website at this rate?

The thought makes me giddy with excitement!

There's my update, and excuse me if I go all quite for another few months but I am like so onto something here, I have work to do!

Congratulations Lynne on your success. We learned fro this that success comes through hard work. I want to appreciate your patience and efforts. I think the content and the patience are the main keys to success.

Now you have a reason to work on your blog as ou know and experienced that hard work does pay. I wish I had a blog. I will make a blog soon and I will act upon the tips and suggestions that you shared with us.

Over 100,000 page views? That's fantastic! I have one blog that shows about 90K views. That's an accumulated count over a period of about 5 years. (Yeah. I've been struggling for a while. I'm a grandma. Had to learn on my own). Keep on blogging!

Your stats are really impressive. I moved my blog from BlogJob to Blogger about 13 months ago and since then I've had a little over 80 000 views. Sadly I don't come even close to matching your income. With so many people using ad blockers nowadays, I was starting to think it wasn't possible to make a decent income out of a blog any more.

Yeah I use an ad blocker. I just find all the ads too much and it distracts me from my work.

That said there are still plenty of people that don't use ad blockers, plus that is not your only way to make money online.

There are loads of ways to make money online and if you grow your blog nicely you will have lots of opportunities coming your way. Offer guest posting services to get in some income and to get in more content - that is something that I am doing and it brings in a nice side income.

Plus you can offer promotional services to people too.

Wow that's a nice success story from a fellow SEOClerks member. And what I like most about your website is the extremely low bounce rate. I don't remember any website having such low bounce rate. I am pretty sure adsense revenue will improve more.

Yes I am sure mt Google Adsense will improve a lot with some time and hard work. Not all of my content is even monetized yet either so I need to get to that, on top of keeping up with my posting schedule.

I have a lot of old posts that I need to spruce up and monetize, both with Google Adsense and Amazon links.

It is a work in progress and I find the challenge so exciting.

I have an articles on Hubpages than have been viewed more than 100 K times. Most of my articles on Hubpages have been viewed 50 K times. After writing on Hubpages for a long time, I decided to start my own website. I moved my contents published elsewhere on hubpages. Sadly, I am not getting enough traffic these days. One of my websites get just around 1000 views per month.

That's true. I have 500K views on my hubpages articles, I have only 150 articles on hubpages. I wish I had never taken Hubpages seriously. Had I launched my own blogs when I joined hubpages, I would have found success with blogging.

yes, you should get guest posts on regular basis from indexed and dofollow blogs then it will skyrocket your views and keywords.. thats tested method..

It is impressive. This is all due to your hard work and determination. Even I want to grow my blog and I know that I have to work really hard for this. Gee, with that kind of traffic in your blog, you can probably retire in comfort lol. That is the dream of most bloggers, to achieve a 6-digit traffic on their blogs. And I’m sure it takes hard work and technique to achieve that. I really admire successful people because I also want to be like you in the near future although that big number is not really part of my dream.
