How does earning on ads from your blogsite works?

I have put some ads on my blog site which are from AdSense. How do they work? I mean the ads? If a visitor of your blog randomly clicks on an ad which is flashing in your blogsite, how do you earn? Do they have to do what the ads are intended to let them do? Like register for this or subscribe for that. Isn't clicking on the ads enough and it will reflect to your AdSense account right after that?

This depends on how much money the advertiser has put on the ad and what type of ad it is. There are different kinds of ads and different ads will earn you different money. For example
CPA or cost per action will earn you for sign ups or sales
CPM or cost for thousand will earn you a certain amount of money for every 1000 views M in CMP stands for roman numeral for one thousand.

CPM is the traditional way televesion, radio, magazine and newspaper advertising is sold. A few higher valuus sites can sell ads this way on the internet, but it's not easy.

If you have a good traffic having CPM ads is a better idea because you will earn from ad impression.

Adsense Ads are CPC ads. You can get specific traffic through them. You earn revenue based on clicks. You can earn more money if there are good conversion. You can make money through CPM ads if there is a lot of traffic on your site. You can make specific amount based on how you have the traffic. Also people with adblocker won't see ads and they don't click ads. So that's another thing to watch out.

I see. So it will count even if they just click the ads and don't even engage on the ad page? Like send email or sign up.

Also, is there any workaround for those adblockers?

Well, it depends on what ads you have advertised because Adsense has CPA and CPM ads. In your case, I think that you will earn from clicks. Each time a user will click on your ads you will earn money, and the user will not register or do something on that site unless he want's to.

There is also CPC or PPC pay per click. The advertiser pay only if a potential customer cares enough about the ad to click on it.

Be careful! don't click on the ads on your blog by yourself, you may get ban by Google. Adsense ads are CPC (cost per click) so you'll earn when your website visitors intact with the ads.

Right you are. Clicking on your own ads is a big no no for Google Adsense and could get you banned for repeated offenses. Clicking accidentally on your ads doesn't result in an immediate ban but then again, just be careful.

When it comes to ad revenue, you earn more when a visitor clicks on an ad and you earn even more of that visitor purchases a product. Does that mean that a visitor should click in order for you to earn ad revenue? Nope.

There are ads that earn you some ad revenue even if a visitor doesn't click. What's important is that the ads were displayed on the page and is within the visibility of the reader. Ads are random though so you don't know which ads are which.

Hi there thanks for your query. I think you also get some suggestion in above. There has many factors for earning good amount of money by Adsense. Sometimes it is depend on country base traffic. For example: if visitor come from USA, you have chance for getting good amount of money for per click. On the other hand, if visitors come from third world countries, you will earn less amount of money for per click. it is my real life experience. Besides, it is depend on CPA, CPM and how much budget by advertiser etc. Google very much aware about fake click. So, make sure your all visitors came from naturally or redirected. And pop up traffic also may restricted you for earning further revenue.

I it is ad-sense, they mostly pay on a cost per click (CPC) basis, but your cost per impression (CPM) also affects your earning potential, the important thing here is to place your ads on strategic positions on your blog that will make it easier for visitor to click on them. but also avoid adding to many ads on your page as this might piss off visitors and get you on googles bad list.

This I have to agree with you. Initially I put in 10 ads on the front page and the traffic plus earning dropped tremendously. Too messy and over crowded

Yeah this is what I'm thinking. I am skeptical in putting more than 3 ads on my blog because they might scare the visitors. But I tend to not have them bigger that can mostly take away the attention from the article.

Yes staying around three is good and it will fit in more to your blog design that setting up around 8 and above on a single page. Content is the reasons visitors come to your website and as such, you shouldnt give ads more importance over it.

But it would matter though right? I mean ads companies such as AdSense won't let you put up to 3 or more ads because you might get penalized for doing that. Where do you get your other ads? o.O

Usually, I place three adsense units and two affiliate ads on each page. My adsense units are within the contents and affiliate ads appear on the header, footer or side bars. Sincde affiliate ads have low conversion when used as banners, I am thinking to have affiliate ads within the body of the content. While doing this I will have to reduce AdSense units to two.

No, I don't believe so. If I can recall correctly, you are paid by how many people click the ads (and some times, plainly just see the ads I believe). You will earn for every time an ad is viewed/clicked but I suppose you can't expect a lot from it unless you have a blog that has a lot of traffic coming in. I've only earned 1.34 dollars in adsense out of 4k total views, I'm guessing it's because a lot of people have adblocks.

That's what I thought also! Most people have adblocks installed so those ads won't be showing. Unless you have a security feature that lets you control over those adblocks. I've seen some websites wherein they won't load until the adblocks aren't turned off.

Google adwords alternatives like cutezapads.com has made advertising much more exciting and easy for those with low budgets that want to do ppc ads in the long run. google AdSense works through CPC and CPM.When once a user clicks on your ad on your site whether sign-up or engagement or not.just the click is money for the site owner and the other is the cost per impressions i.e you'll be paid per a thousand views.So you need to placed your ad banner in strategic location on your blog to get them clicked on your blog

Isn't that also calculated by total number of views on your blog or website? Or don't you think it has something to do with it just like how YouTube works when it comes to revenues? Like for instance, you have 20,000 page visits total but none of those or some of those have only clicked a few ads. Wouldn't it matter? I guess it's where CPM comes in.

If you mean by putting some ads on your site is that Adsense was the one who placed those ads then that’s fine. You earn from the ads when a reader would click on the particular ad by Adsense. You can also earn from the so called impression that if your site has a good amount of traffic, there is the impression that the readers get from the ads so you also earn a minimal revenue.
