Hello guys! I hope you are having a terrific day!

As you know being a young person in a world where experience is highly demanded and well paid. Being a young entrepreneur is hard work…I’ve been a nurse for about 2 years now and I have this site to promote my services but I’m having a tough time trying to get new customers because
when they see I’m a young person they think I lack experience. How do you avoid this?. In this field, the old and more experience nurses are always the favorites to get the job So I was wondering: how do you sell your services and yourself as the best choice when you are a young person?

They think that you lack experience or you actually lack experience? That's two very different things. If they just assume that you do then that's easy! Prove them that you don't... make sure that you list all of your previous work experience or any of the extra courses you've taken as a nurse.

However, if you really do lack the experience then you should strive to get some. I really think that nurses have many opportunities to find work because they're always needed. In my country, the younger nurses are actually in higher demand because they tend to be nicer. Have you ever tried to do extra educational courses that would give you more credibility?

I think that simply telling you how to attract buyers isn't good in your specific case because you aren't a freelancer, you're a nurse. You aren't selling some random product but your caretaking. It needs a different approach.

Have you tried selling yourself from a different approach? Where did you go to school? Did someone noteworthy train you? What separates you from the older nurses in the field?

These are questions that I can't answer for you, since I've never been a nurse in my life. But if you can find things about your training, education, or background that might set you apart from your competition, that will be a great starting point for selling your services.

In my case, I do photo and video as a freelance job, so I have a portfolio work that I can easily show clients so they can get a feel for the quality of my work. With you, that's a moot point since you don't have a portfolio to show. Instead, maybe talk about how you've spent your 2 years as a nurse and what you've learned over that period of time.

I'm not a fortune teller but the first thing I noticed in your post is that you are the one who is conscious of your age. Try to act natural and be peers with older nurses. That I mean by being peer is to be like them in mindset. When that is done, think of your skills that can make you more attractive. My older sister is a chief nurse of a government hospital here and she reached that position because of her volunteering attitude. She does things outside her territory such that her efforts were later noticed by the bosses. Maybe you can start with a new resume that would detail your special skills and experiences with those special skills.

When you offer your work, you are in some way selling yourself. No one wants to buy something that may look or appear lacking on confidence. So first of all, be confident, act like if you already got the spot. Also, age is not completely related to experience, I'm tired of see a lot of "grown ups" doing exactly the opposite they were supposed to do. Be yourself, some people try so hard to pretend to be experienced, that it just simply shows. Keep yourself focus, don't let anyone tells you, that you can't do it, yes you can and you can do it even better than the rest.

You hit the nail on your head with your first sentence here. You can't sell anything about yourself to anyone without a sense of confidence. What is it that they say, "Fake it until you make it"? Even if you are a bit lacking in experience and confidence, try not to let the potential buyers and customers know too much about that. Once a few clients are won over, and you can even get some testimonials from them, then confidence grows, and potential customers will believe in what you do more and more. Anyway, just saying that I agree with your post here.

I think the often issue with convincing people to buy from you means you don't have the leverage in the market. So make sure to serve first few customers of yours with empathy. And then build some referral network over this. So this way you can get some leverage in the market. That way you'd be able to convert a lot of to buy from you. And that's something you have to push forward to in that case.

Focus more on improving your marketing skills and forget about the age factor.Try to sharpen your skills to be able to convince them naturally.

You could actually learn from the expert in the field and work in improving on where they have failed.

Be more receptive to your clients and ask them how they love to be served,that way you tend to serve them better and to their desire.

Whether it's nursing, writing, or graphic design, the amount of success you accumulate is going to depend on how well you are able to market yourself. There are people who find work with far less experience than some of their competitors, and that is because they know how to sell themselves well. I'm not saying that you have to lie about your experience, but you're going to want to take on the challenge with the attitude of someone that has been in the business for years. Be confident, assertive, and let them know that you know exactly what you're about.

I think these days building a network is what creates the better service. I have seen some people making use of the networking and their website to make the most money. So thats not something easy if you ask me. I think each one of us have different strategy. And it's possible to work around with it this way.

Am an architect, in my country clients give jobs to quacks just to reduce cost.
The Ways I keep my clients is letting them know the standard and making them know am actually a professional in that field.
A business man once came to firm for a design job, I actually needed the money, but I told him no when he Insisted on making an unimaginable assumption.
I just told him that am a professional in this field and only a quack can do this. If he really wanted me for the job then I must have a say.
Am so confident in my profession that no body can take away my client.

Since being young seems to make future patients not want your services, then maybe you should try to look a bit older than your age. Have it as a picture in your resume.

Then in your resume, be sure to put those patients of yours that really liked your services, so when checked they will really rave about your good service to them.

Those nice ads can be put on the side by testimonials of people you have given service.

Putting the testimonial of people is an excellent idea! I didn't think of this in the past. I tried to look a bit more mature by wearing my glasses and wearing some more serious uniforms all the time but I don't want to make it look like I'm not approchable either. What do you suggest for this?

Yes, I agree with the others marketing is the best approach, as well as having a quality product to sell. If you are selling an inferior product (which I am sure you are not) you will not get repeat customers. I think just find a niche and market it to those who you think will buy and you will be half way there!

What products are you trying to sell? If you personally use those items like say they're clothing site you can model and post on IG/Facebook so more people can like it. Or product reviews on Youtube.

Sometimes you don't even need to convince a potential buyer. because sometimes your products will speak for them, if you are offering quality and good services, but nevertheless here are some tips.

There are two basic reasons why people purchase anything: to increase pleasure (e.g. glowing health, freedom, popularity) or decrease pain (e.g. stress, financial problems, poor health). Focus on your product or service’s most compelling benefits as you communicate with your target audience---then, make sure you deliver on your promises. Be specific.

To market effectively you must get into your prospects’ heads. Listen carefully to your target audiences’ expressed opinions and
feelings---particularly as they relate to your products or services---and be sure to address them directly. (Social media forums
and blogs make this very easy.) Research the marketplace to discover new trends and golden opportunities that you can leverage to benefit your business.

It's extremely difficult. It's a tough market out there because people may not buy your services because of your lack of experience but then it is difficult for you to get any experience if people aren't willing to try you out. I think the best thing to do in this case is to try and offer some special discounts or lower your price. Certain people may be willing to try out and buy your services if they can get it for especially low. And once you manage to get your experience, you can decide to increase your price.

I must say that it is not going to be easy to convince potential buyers of the need to buy your products, but you have to realize that what the buyer needs to know is what the product is going to offer. So, try as much as you can to explain the benefits of your products in a bid to convince a buyer to buy from you.

It is really important for the seller to know his product very well. For a creative seller, he should learn of ways on how to make use of the product. An example is the salesman of a vacuum cleaner that the gadget can also be used as a blower which is a nice tool during autumn to blow away the fallen leaves. Aside from the other uses of the product, there are the factors like cost and durability but most of all is the efficacy or effectiveness.

I'm also a young entrepreneur. I started at my 20's. The first thing you should do is to write a prospect list. I was taught that the first people you should approach should be your warm market. Start with people that you know. Start with your family, friends, and relatives, especially with the quality prospects. They are the first few people I wrote in my prospect list. Once they like your products and service, that's the time you will have more clients. They will surely give you referrals. That's the time you will be able to touch the cold market, the people you don't know. Remember that there are more people we don't know than the ones that we know. Serve your warm market very well so you can also get their market. Personally, I don't have much of a market. I know very few people. I also started with them. Right now, most of my clients are cold market, people I don't know. These people came from referrals and they are quality referrals. Also, don't be afraid to talk to people who have higher social status than you. They are usually the quality prospects who are actually easy to talk to especially if they are referrals. Most of my clients are senior citizens. A few of them are rich. They are decision makers. Since they are all referrals, they easily buy from me with less talk. They only ask common and easy questions. They also pay me the respect they give to the person who referred them to me. You try to do the same thing. Start with the people you know until you get referrals and be able to touch their market.
