Hey all!

My current blog was approved by AdSense a long time ago. It only had a few articles, I think around 9 and they were all decent length.

Now, my friend has recently applied for the Google AdSense for his own blog which focuses on animals. He has 14 articles, all between 500-1000+ words, pictures inside them and everything. Sadly, he got rejected and the reason was "insufficient content". I know that he can reapply but I'm wondering how much content does he truly need? I had less than him and got approved. I'm confused.

If you were approved a long time ago with fewer demands from Adsense, it doesn't mean your friend will get the same treatment. Google Adsense policies and requirements had changed and evolved over the years. I own an Adsense account for more than seven years now, and I didn't have any problems in getting accepted.

500-1000+ words per article are not bad, but having just 14 article in total may be the real reason for his rejection. I also recommend reading about what is now required to get accepted into Google Adsense and how to speed your approval by making sure your website looks and moves correctly.
Another reason for the rejection may be the quality of the articles. Bad grammar and inaccurate information can lead to Adsense rejection your website.

Tell your friend to keep trying only after he reviews everything about his site and content.

Exactly, Google are evolving and they have evolved over the years. So what happened long ago, is really likely not happen down, because right now, every one is into the blog field and the standards have to raised. So it is really recommended to check out the requirements and check marks that were set by Google.

Bad grammar and spelling errors may affect the approval of Adsense but I think it is more of due to a change in policy. It was easier to get an Adsense approval before even if the content is not much because Adsense is wanting in clients. But now that they have cut down to 50% the rate of revenue sharing that means they have an excess of clients that they want to taper down.

Policies of Google Adsense change from time to time, maybe when yours was approved there wasn't an emphasis on the number of articles on the site but now it might be different.I think they have realized that sooner or later blog owners abandon their sites because they can no longer cope with the stress of the job.I believe they want to be so sure one is serious to blog and to be sure,m ore content should be written to show seriousness.

14 articles isn't enough. I think right now you probably need somewhere more between 50 and 100 to be accepted into the adsense program. You should tell him to contact adsense directly about this and see if they shoot him a reply back. If not, maybe visit the google product forums and see if anyone there can help him.

He might be rejected due to factors not known to you. Google has stringent requirements for accepting publishers into its AdSense program. The number of articles published on a blog never matters, but the originality and uniqueness. Google is not concerned about quantity but quality. Were the articles originally composed before publishing? Google checks parameters like this for granting approval.

Some people make use of article rewriter tools to compose content for AdSense application. Google has the algorithm to detect this instantly and will never approve such applications. If you can write about 20 fresh articles of 700 - 1000 words each, upload blog related images or videos and allow traffic to flow well before submitting an AdSense application, approval is guaranteed.

Like what has been said before, Google Adsense policies change from time to time so chances are that you were able to get approved at a time when they accepted blogs with a lot less content. But now because almost everyone is starting to create their own websites, blogs and forums, they have probably made their policies a lot more difficult which is probably why your friend's blog was rejected.

I was approved for Adsense way back in 2007. Things have certainly changed since then. But I am glad I joined the program all those years ago. The income has certainly been nothing to sneeze at.

I signed up for mine years a go was using it on a blog where I had over 100 articles or more. Was gutted when I lost that site, but recently started up another and my google adsense I use on my site and my forum. The forum doesn't have much content but its shared in my popular Facebook group.

Well, I did one for my friend, I opened a blog for him, he is an engineer, and I told him to provide me with 30 articles, he shouldn't bother about spicing it up, he should use his CE knowledge and write 30 articles naturally. And he did and I scheduled them on the bog, and once they were fully live on the web, I applied for Adsense and at the speed of taught he was approved. So you can try that number range.

That warning seems to be coming for even the existing publishers too. They are issuing this warning because they want big wall of text content. And sort of like wikipedia. So that being said, I am guessing that adsense may not be good in judging the content. So remove those ads and replace it with some other type of the content. That should be more than enough for the adsense to not appear that warning. I have removed adsense from one blog. And hoping that this should be good enough for the content on blogs which pass that large content criteria.

I tried to get AdSense approval before but I was unsuccessful. I then realized that I would have had to previously have been quite a bit of content going before I may be considered for approval. I had to abandon the venture which I was trying to participate in at the time and since then I have not retried to subscribe to AdSense.

Getting approval for Ad Sense will be more difficult because Google doesn't make as much revenue as they used to from Ad Sense ads. It stands to reason if they can't make the money, they can't share the wealth. But don't give up. Keep trying! Meanwhile, look for Ad Sense alternatives. There are lots of them to choose from. Back in the day, there were not so many to choose from. Yeah. Times have changed.

Advertisers have been mad at adsense in the past because apparently publishers are getting too many clicks on their ads. Which means advertisers have to pay out too much money. So adsense decided to change the rules and make it harder for publishers to profit. Clicks now to adsense must be extremely precise in order for publishers to earn from them. But the advertisers who left never really came back. Hence the dent in google's earnings.

I agree that Adsense has an ever changing policy regarding the approval. But with content as the issue, I guess they require a site that is dynamic in terms of traffic. So maybe even if your site has only 5 posts but there are hundreds of hits every day then that will be considered satisfactory with the contents. Take note that Adsense is all about advertising which needs sites with many readers for their promotion of the advertisements.

I think he needs traffic. he need to use social medias to help more people to read his articles and get more traffic to his blog then Adsense would approve him.

In most cases, you may apply for AdSense and be rejected more than twenty times before you get approved. What could be the cause of this? Before applying for Google AdSense, you need to learn all that needs to be learnt. I knew some people that applied and got approved once. Submitting content is one thing, writing it up to standard is another.

My blog was approved by Adsense last year December with only 18 posts but now they keep saying my blog is still under review. I checked on the FaQs page only to find new blogs with insufficient content might take long to be approved by Adsense. I also found traffic to be another reason and so I can say the less traffic I get now is the only reason why it is taking longer for Adsense to approve my blog for the second time.

Google Adsense policy has certainly changed over the years. In my country, they don't just require sufficient content and traffic but they also require that a blog should be at least six months old to be considered. My blog is a few months off from reaching six months but the quantity of posts and traffic are still off my target. I'll make sure they're good before attempting to apply as it may take longer for them to review a second application.

I've been hearing a lot of fuss and noise on google AdSense saying how difficult it is to get signed in or how partial google is in accepting sites owners into the program. Well, I don't think I agree with all that.

Google AdSense policies might have change over the recent years, but it's normal as the internet and operations evolve very now and then. I haven't been much of a blogger, I just published my blog not to long ago with only about 15 article posts and got signed up with AdSense a day ago. I didn't face much difficulties as opposed to others. I think people should have the habits of going through every single details in a guidelineto ensure they get the right response.

Google has become far more powerful since the early 2000's also. As a company. So they are a lot more picky about what sites they do and don't let into the adsense program.
