my computer got infected with a virus after downloading a zip file from private message

This guy contacted me on SEOClerks private message to say they needed some work done. I downloaded and opened the zip file they sent, and my malware detector alerted me that the file was infected with a virus. I reformatted my computer, not taking any chances.

What's going on here?
