    Obviously the music itself has to be your creation, if the beat is owned by someone else you cannot monetize it.

    And secondly log into youtube and go to youtube settings, then look to channel settings and go to monetization... and your on your way from there how to monetize a music video?

    We have our own music that are original compositions of my husband. What we do is to create a video with the music so it will appear like an mtv but it is not exactly in that form. The video is actually just a way to be uploaded to Youtube. And since our YouTube channel is monetized, that music video earns for us. But you need to have a lot of views before the earnings can be substantial otherwise your video will be earning just a few coins a month.
